According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the production of pure alkali in December was 3.05 million tons, an increase of 130000 tons month on month and 570000 tons year-on-year.
In 2023, the domestic production of caustic soda reached 32.62 million tons, an increase of 3.42 million tons or 12% compared to 2022.
According to customs data, in December, China imported 65800 tons of pure alkali and exported 85500 tons. From January to December, the cumulative import volume was 683200 tons, an increase of 569400 tons year-on-year, with a growth rate of 500.32%. From January to December, the cumulative export volume was 1.489 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 566100 tons, a decrease of 27.55%.
According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the production of flat glass in December was 84.999 million weight boxes, an increase of 5.7% year-on-year.
In 2023, the domestic production of flat glass reached 96.9418 million weight boxes, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%.
